Super Sunfish rigging question

I am the new owner of a very nice 1982 Super Sunfish that I am refurbishing to sail or sell next spring. I test sailed it for the first time yesterday and was impressed with how well it sailed in the light to medium air I encountered. It is a very nice rig, well designed and balanced.

A question: At the base of the mast is a large stainless steel ring that has an eye for the boom vang tackle to attach to. Then there are double ended Cunningham and main outhaul lines that end up cleating to two sets of clam cleats on the inside of the splash rail. However, no turning blocks came with the mast and I simply ran the two sets of lines under the large ring and back to the cleats using the ring as the turning point for the lines. Are there supposed to be blocks that attach to the mast ring or am I rigging it correctly without the blocks? Also, if there are supposed to be blocks, are they two double blocks or four separate blocks?

There are no other Super Sunfish in my area to compare to so I am open to reader comments. Thanks
